Lunching Out

In between boring speakers and lurking around the conference venue, I shamelessly went to look for the friends so that I could nap at their office lounges. Then being prodded awake and whisked away for lunch became the singular highlight of the day.

A quick one at Chalk was enough to restore the smiles. I didn't feel like talking very much. But it was nice to have the friends jabber and I listen. Working in town does have its perks. When the friends are all working nearby, lunch time becomes more exciting. There would always be restaurants to check out and that is so fun. Lunches are no longer just, utilitarian.

I've always liked the vongole linguine at Chalk. Today, it was my comfort food that cheered me up in its consistency of texture and taste. As usual, I wished they would use less oil in this dish.
