It was perfect that the man had gigs to occupy him. I had the day all to myself, exactly what was needed after a hectic week. Never mind the irritating 7am wake-up calls. I saw too many humans during the week and had to freeze the smile on my face often. That was draining.
No social demands were fulfilled today. I was quite happy not to talk to anyone at length and just do stuff at the scheduled intervals. It was quite a lucky shot to get appointments at the last minute.
A quick sprint in the pool followed by a session of pilates stretched out all kinks. Then I went for an excruciatingly painful massage to soothe out the rest of the knots. The day ended with a much-needed facial. I really ought to take better care of the face, except I'm just too lazy about it.
The brain went into snooze mode all the way and didn't exactly wake up. I feel relaxed and stretched. I finally unpacked all the boxes from London and cleared out the week's laundry, drycleaning and ironing. It's time to turn my attention onto the social requirements of the festive season. Let's see if I feel up to doing anything. It's quite a chore, really. I'm in no mood for glitter and glamor. I'd prefer to move across the festivities in simplicity. Otherwise, I'll probably disappear to a destination where no erupting volcano can disrupt travel plans.

erupting volcano... SIGH!
I'd love to have a day like yours one day soon.
i never go anywhere in December. Home ground is more peaceful than any destination abroad, where there are lots of Singaporeans about :)
