The friends were there to have lunch with ex-colleagues. I needed to get groceries, and think about which brand and what firmness of tofu to buy, gluten-free or otherwise. (So glad that it was my biggest decision of the day. Really. Yesterday was a long day of meetings.) Bought plenty pieces of fish. Those, and prawns couldn't wait for the group to finish lunch, so I went off first to settle the grocery bags returning to the mall to have coffee with them.
There wasn't time to adjourn to Tiong Bahru Estate for a better cuppa. So whatever available at the mall would have to do. What a fun, impromptu kopi session. WAH, luckily I wasn't in like a horribly clashing outfit with crazy-unkempt hair! Muahahahah. With my (brief) talk about fish and tofu, they might just have rolled their eyes and wonder, "What have you done to impie?" At least I see 2 of them on a regular basis, so they know. Heh.
After the others returned to the office, the girlfriend in jeans came home with me to do work on her laptop. How disciplined! She didn't skive! It was her work-at-home-day, and there were plenty of calls and emails to attend to. Between the crappy wireless[at]SG at the cafes and the wifi at home, latching onto the latter would ensure stable access via VPN to her email server. Very random afternoon. I like.
