A Pocket Of Mid-Day Love

Finally met the man for lunch. The first time in three months, considering that our offices aren't that far away. Hurhurhur. I guess we're pretty much similar. Either we work through lunch, or we simply gobble the home-packed lunches. Went to Shinji by Kanesaka. Prefer the vibes of the restaurant at Raffles Hotel and can't help hopping in often.

Iwashi sushi is in season. Loved it at dinner last week. And because we asked, we had two pieces each today. We had plenty pieces of sushi after that. Stuffed to the brim. Almost fell asleep at my desk later in the afternoon. Couldn't have anything else but soup for dinner. Heh.

Today was a last minute reservation. But there was space. They're always very kind to make space for us when we can't give advance notice. The restaurant was full, but the patrons were quiet and conversation was a low, comfortable hum. Perfect to soothe frazzled nerves. The man's having crazy months at work. He isn't a happy camper. For a quiet interlude before his next flight out.
