There's Gonna Be A Fresh New Tatsuya in September!

Tatsuya has been a childhood joint that brought fond memories of weekly family meals. Then more exciting food options came along; Japan beckoned, and I forgot about it till just before it moved from then Crown Prince Hotel to its present location at Goodwood Park Hotel. Then I remembered to hop in for its familiar flavors, and faithfully have had many meals there. Till today, if I'm to have Japanese food in Singapore, I'd probably head to Tatsuya and Shinji.

Since Tatsuya's going to be closed for renovations for a month from 5 August to 6 September, the friends, the man and I hurriedly made reservations for a couple of meals. We eat there often and would miss its food even in this short month.

Haven't bothered asking much about its new look or finding out about its possible new line-up of chefs. I'll eventually know. I'd rather be surprised. Pleasantly so, hopefully. Still got a soft spot for this restaurant.

Glad that you brought us there a couple of years back for a lovely lunch! I still remember that lunch fondly - not just because of the food, but the company! And oh, that square little tofu!
