The friends ditched their usual hosting of a LNY festive party at home; they opted to book out the al fresco area of Lucca's. They invited the usual suspects plus floofs to dinner. So we merrily trotted down to the restaurant. The cheeseboards (those were pretty lovely) and bottles of wine were all prepped to greet us upon arrival. Heh! Food was decent, and the wine list was okay. There’s nothing impressive about it, but there’s nothing to complain about either.
Tonight, the purpose was to hang out with the friends and have some wine and have a light dinner. The dinner didn't turn out that light even though the hosts claimed that they ordered fewer dishes that they thought about. We were stuffed. We definitely ate way too much cheese.
The best part — we still got to have our floofs with us. We ate well, drank loads, and had plenty of fun. Friendships were renewed and no floofs fought with one another. The floofs are familiar with one another; they have met rather regularly. There were a number of minor spats of which the floofs resolved on their own in seconds, without needing us to step in. These are indeed trained floofs, who are very well socialized. It was a very good night.
