I'm really that this season, nobody spent money to buy me cakes. I'm very vocal about my aversion to sugar and dessert. I've got no wish for anyone to waste money on sugary desserts for my birthday that I don't care for.
What J did was so clever. She picked a savory Asian-style carrot cake for me from Crystal Jade, and got it delivered. It arrived with no sauces and no condiments. Excellent. I totally appreciated this gift. J knew that I would have all the condiments required at home. Chillies, XO sauces, etc.
I love it! I could have it steamed or fried. I chose to have it steamed for the first taste. I also added lupcheong to it. Teehehhehe. Lupcheong is everything to me! This is a precious stash from Yue Wo (裕和合記) in Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong.
