The girlfriend loves Fire-King. She has built quite a collection. Went to play with them the other at lunch at her home. I like both Pyrex and Fireking. Reminds me of dishes used why I was a kid. I had no problems doing the dishes after dinner.There's this really solid feel to the crockery that modern-day wares don't possess.
These are items bought, collected and passed down by our grandmothers. We still have the old ones (made in the 40s-60s) made of low expansion borosilicate glass instead of the newer tempered soda-lime-silicate glass. In perfect oven-condition. I love that translucent quality about them.
