Like all old-school western restaurants, Top of the M does very good lobster bisque. On occasion, I think it's pretty cool to see the food cooked in front of the table. It's just so quaint!
The restaurant's ambience doesn't hold any appeal. The revolving restaurant concept is really quite passé. It's probably going to be removed and the hotel would renovate soon. While it's still around, we would pop in once in a while to check out its menu and the very consistent quality in its food.
This evening, we sat down to a long dinner with the family. The menu promised plenty of conservative gastronomic delights, including a nicely grilled monkfish tail with cassoulet of white bean saffron and candied red peppers. We were so full that we couldn't even bear to look at dessert.
