"Why Is It Still So Soft After 10 Minutes???!"

Of course I cheated by using Betty Crocker's instant mixes. I was a little rushed for time, you see. Baking requires so much effort. I couldn't be bothered to actually knead dough. Although it was a stir-in supermarket pre-mix thingy, I was a bit lost. I had to call D like ten thousand times. Sent frantic low-res MMSes to her at every other stage. Thank god she thought they looked okay.

I couldn't stand the smells of baking. It was nauseating. Unbidden, my dinner rose to my throat and I had to chuck out the squiggly strands of half-digested spaghetti. Twice. Good lord. What a torturous experiment.

I did wonder why the cookies looked like spaceships. Aren't they supposed to be flat??? And why were these cookies so soft?!
The phone beeped with D's reply. "You used a muffin tray?" OH. I could literally hear her laughter in the message. I was so crushed!

Damn. Never mind.

You cannot stand the smell of baking but still did it and threw up? Whoa, your man has to appreciate what you've done for him, premix or not.

Lordy! Me thinks dawn better help you HANDS ON for the next attempt. But keep it up, you'll get the hang of it. Take baby steps and maybe try baking 'spicier'cookies -I reckon you got sick due to the sweet cloying smell.

Your cookies look good to me. Maybe over time you will get used or like the baking smell. Or you can do some aromatherapy while baking :)

Heehee... I laughed at the muffin tray liner. It's funny. Stuck in the kitchen to bake those cookies is no joke. It's not the work but the overpowering smell of chocolates that just cling to your clothes, your hair and everything else. Do you still wanna eat chocs after that?

so sweet lah you :)

i laughed at "mookies" - bake a mookie and get a smoochie

cookies are rather idiot-proof, ie no matter what size or shape or volume they come in, still edible! haha... i am speaking from experience of course!
