I'll get that prescribed later. I've to deal with the nail bed and surrounding skin first. Shall start the fight against the pus and itch with cloxacillin and miconazole cream.

Someone I know took antiobiotics for his nail fungus and he ended up with loss of taste for a few months. Would be good to check out the side effects online first. Good luck

looks like a 1 week dosage. sounds just about right. otherwise, just rip the nail off. much easier to treat skin. :)
cavalock: ah. gotta disappoint you. nothing dramatic. all normal medication only. nail removal is last resort. and i WILL gross you out with details if so! heee!
kuro.s.n: oh yes! if the bacteria infection doesn't go away, it will! but not so soon. takes a while still.
wildgoose: i will try! not sure if i can stop the skating though. too addictive. i used to have really bad toes and knees 10yrs ago. but still skated through it. lost the nails then. but they grew back. so not too worried in that way.
anon@10.37pm: thank u! mine's not just a fungal infection. it has turned bacteria and affecting the flesh. my doctors are looking at dosage and timeline of antibiotics too. they've explained in detail the side effects and all. they're very thorough. so i'm not overly worried. i use online resources as a guideline. then bug the hell out of the friends for their offline professional opinions. so i think this toe has been spoilt with too much attention!!! :)
dawn: of course!!! thank u! :) we've all agreed to remove the nail if necessary. ah well, putting it in perspective, it's only a toenail. heh. so if ripping it off saves me all these heartache, i'll just go do it!

i was bracing myself for the pic in your previous post! hope the antibiotics help. i've had my big toe nail die on me many times from abuse so i know what a pain it can be!
