Nels Cline's Solo - Impossible Germany

I just have to gush about Nels Cline's solo in Impossible Germany.

He is simply amazing. I know that he's good. He's got great solo works. But it wasn't till he played with Wilco that I sat up and really noticed him. And his vintage '59 Fender Jazzmaster.

And it wasn't till Impossible Germany that I so heart this guitarist. His solo made me drift into this alternative world where music and only complex guitar harmonies rule.

(Well, I do have this thing for guitarists anyway. The really good ones. Yes. The man and the friends can do a cover of this song. Very very well.)

You know indie music is not about punk, death or metal. Indie is not all characterized by progressive, shoegazer and emo rock.

If Wilco and Nels Cline don't give you a new appreciation of indie music, I don't know what will.
