The Little Stalls

Every morning on our way to work, we'll pass by this little food lane packed with people working in the neighboring offices, sitting down to breakfast.

While I'm never enthusiastic about eating in backlanes at home, I'm very curious about street food away from Singapore.

There's this lady who sells chee cheong fun in the way I like it- with just light soy sauce. The little seats at the stall are always full and the queue is long. Her food is sold out by 10.15am every day.

There's a dim sum shop that isn't great by restaurant standards. But I found the food edible and pretty okay for a simple breakfast. It offers quite a bit of variety.

The spare ribs steamed in chilli are quite delicious.

Best of all, they fill our stomachs for less than S$3 a meal.

When we're rushing to and fro work everyday, we usually just hop into the tiny local cafes and eat whatever that is on the menu. So far, it's been pretty good.

Although I'm getting a little tired of Chinese food after a week.

i'm not too hot about eating street food though. but i suppose hot stuff with boiling water shld be fine.

everyone's eating it. how bad can it be right? unless one has a weak pampered stomach...
