A Wondrous Journey

In the evening.

Beer, wine, Coke Light, potato wedges, steaming hot ravioli with cream sauce; reclining seats, blankets and huge spaces.

Friends across the aisle.

Don't you think that riding on an armored polar bear thundering across the ice to rescue friends taken by Gobblers is wayyy cooler than perching precariously on a broomstick trying to catch the Golden Snitch?

Not too sure about the movie, but Golden Compass the book was quite boring. Both HP and HDM (His Dark Materials) were targeted at the younger set, but HP had much more emotional depth.

Many many years from now, when the names of the daemon's in GP are long and forgotten, Hedwig and Dobby would still remain deeply etched in the hearts of HP fans everywhere.

I hardly see how HDM would inspire this kind of loyalty.

sinlady: heeeeee.

JM: i think i'm not so interested in the characters in HDM. i'm interested in the trilogy's presentation of ideals and concepts, and the satire within. it could be political OR anti-religion. that itself is mindboggling. the universe of Northern Lights beckons to me more than the wizardry of HP. sometime, HDM appeal to me. not HP.

cavalock: heeeeee. no lah. at the cinema.

meteor: dunnnoo. i didn't watch it for the daemons. :) POLAR BEARS ROCK!
