I had a couple of errands to run. Like changing sizes for shirts and duvets received as Christmas gifts. So I didn't bother to arrange any lunch with the girlfriends.
The man's mom decided to come with me. After breakfast, she was a sweetie to drive us out to the mall.
Other than running errands, we had nothing else specific to do. We just wandered all over the shops to check out the sales. (A 50% off some racks at Marc Jacobs was something! )
She sheepishly admitted she sometimes indulged in impulse buys. I gleefully told her that to prevent that happening, I'd tell her that everything looked ugly. Unless it was a really fabulous dress or thing. Kekekekekek.
I don't really like shopping unless I have things to buy. But I like walking along with good company and just chatting about nothing in particular.
She said she wanted to buy me lunch because I was rarely on leave and was home during the day. My heart melted! But of course I confiscated her wallet and put lunch on my tab.
I thought it a fun afternoon indeed. All too soon, it was 5pm!!! Time to go home before the peak hour traffic hit.
Wow. We walked that much.
