The Chairman of the Meeting took a bite of the cake. He looked at the staff sitting by the side. "Where did you buy this cake from?" He asked.
The Director did a little jump. He quietly turned to his Deputy to ask, "Where did you buy this cake from?"
The Deputy gulped and leaned towards to his Assistant to softly query, "Where did you buy this cake from?"
The Assistant blinked and nudged his Manager. "Where did you buy this cake from?"
The Manager inhaled sharply and grabbed his Executive. "Where did you buy this cake from?"
"From Polar." The Executive whispered.
"From Polar." The Manager squeaked to the Assistant.
The Assistant updated the Deputy. "From Polar."
The Deputy's face lit up as he turned back to the Director. "From Polar."
The Director smiled approvingly. He cleared his throat as he addressed the Chairman. "From Polar."
"Good cake." The Chairman nodded his appreciation.

welcome to the corporate!
Rule#1 Always let your boss have the first say.
it's like 'pass the message' game, why can't the person who bought the cake just answer... 0_0
HAHAH!! I tell you, I can't say I've not been in that situation before!
At least it wasn't broken telephone! Hehe

cavalock: heheh. i think they call it 'hierarchy'.
we call it the CYA strategy(Cover Your Arse) Based on the Chairman's comment, one could not tell if he liked the cake or not. So if he likes it, then it was "I" who asked to be ordered from there. If not, then it was so and so who ordered it. I told them not to order from there..... BTW, those swiss rolls on the website looks delishhhhh!
hahahaha, this post really give a big smile on my face..hahahah!! i love it! and i guess, this is so familiar! hahahah =p
geesmo: apparently the cakes from Polar are delish. but i haven't tasted them, so not sure. heh. CYA strategy works very well all around.
elaine: heh.
