The Ratri Jazz Restaurant is touted to have the most beautiful sunset views on the island, along with its popular jazz band. We've heard about it but didn't visit. We've been distracted by other dining venues. But when Shutterbug and Lil Miss Snooze said so, we had to have an evening to dine at Ratri.
You know what guys? We drove all the way to the quiet location. But in the end, we didn't eat at Ratri. Because I didn't dare to make it up to the restaurant. Totally chickened out. I have acrophobia. My legs already turned wobbly when the car climbed the steep slope. We parked at the top. We had to inch down that at-least-45degree incline to the foot of the stairs to Ratri. I was trembling.
My legs gave up at the foot of those stairs. There was no freaking way I would climb up those stairs. I plonked myself down on the ground and refused to stand up anymore. Good food, great view or otherwise, nothing would persuade me to climb up those narrow slabs.
The man had a grand time laughing. When he was done, he retrieved the car and gingerly drove us out to another restaurant.
PS: I'm thinking of going to the 360, but when the guidebooks say that "it was worth the climb", I'm hesitant! Heeee.

You fear heights? That's new to know because I remember you trek. But I know what you mean about the wobbly legs. I have difficulties going down steep stairs too. I would sit and bum down all the way.
I like this picture. It portrays aptly what you've described. :p
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.... you didn't go up?
the view is really too good to be missed leh!
Ahh.. 360 restaurant :D
no need to climb, just go to the Pavilion's lobby and there will be staff there who will ferry you there in the golf buggy :D Just enjoy the ride lah, not as steep as Ratri :)
The view's good too!
sesame: i'm scared of heights and TERRIFIED OF STAIRS! u got the word right. all the treks are made with great 'emotional difficulty'. but i love that heart-in-the-mouth feeling. when i'm in the right gear, shoes n clothes. i'd bum my way down all the way too!
shutterbug: heeeehheee. i'll take your word totally then, for 360!
