A Robot Army

The girlfriend has ALOT of fancy 'pets' at home. She virtually has a little army. The one in this photo is an old model.

They're named Roomba and Scooba. There's the Dirt Dog too. She swears by their good work.

If I could fly over to her house now, I would gather all these 'pets' together for a group photo.

These 'pets' don't just make great gifts. Even I am very tempted to grab a Roomba and a Scooba. Although I've no idea how useful it will be when there's domestic help available at home.

She's a terrible influence on many friends.

oh my friend loves hers too. Apparently they are rather effective. But I have too many pictures propped up against my walls - so won't work for me!

Roomba (vaccums) and Scooba (vacuums/brushes/wipes/dries) work very well indeed. We made sure our furniture has sufficient clearance for the robots to go under. I don't believe this at first but Scooba wipes (with water) the floor better than an average person. I have maids at home.

Disadvantages: iRobots do not do corners. Chargers & batteries needs replacing and these are not cheap. Getting a new robot (with new charger/battery) is a option worth considering.
Models are upgraded all the time-that is why this one is left alone (still working, battery died) & wondering if it is worth replacing the battery. Yes, got a new model irobot with better functions.

irobot does not go over edge-so will not drop into yr pond/down stairs. Gadgets r available to limit its range if you do not want irobot to go into some areas. There's timing device and you cld schedule irobot to work when you are out. Able to dock "home" and re-charge at end of cycle. Read the reviews.

corsage: can try...?!

anon@2.36pm: hey! thanks for in-depth 'review'! good to know the details. everytime i look at home gadgets, there're tons to choose from. frankly, i can't tell what's good or bad. can only depend on reviews from friends who have actually used them.
