The Pearl Of The Indian Ocean

You know the computer screen inflight that displays the flight route, distance and map of the region? I didn't really bother how far it was from home to destination city. I gave up on planning for the many meetings that were scheduled for the week. My eyes were glued to the blue that surrounded Sri Lanka. I couldn't stop marvelling at how blue it was.

Galle, Unawatuna and Trincomalee 4 years ago were simply AWESOME. I've always wanted to dive in this area again. A big lightbulb went off in my head. "West coast dive season now on!"

I don't have a single piece of gear with me. But I'm confident that there's nothing an efficient hotel concierge, Visa and PlusATMs can't sort out. Flipped through the time-table for the trip. There is a field trip mid-week. Apparently, I'm supposed to go view dams and temples. I think I'm going to pass.

Wreck diving off the coast and Hikkaduwa beckons; civil war notwithstanding.

waaaa... I heard that Sri Lanka has got many many beautiful spots. I am sure you will enjoy yourself. The tea plantations, I think, is a sight that you should not miss. Take lots of pics. :)
