I am surprised! IT has enabled access to blogspot sign-ins and comment functions! (Refer to earlier post yesterday.)
Woots. I'm just amazed that they unblocked it so fast and didn't make any fuss about it. I was out all morning and didn't log on to the work server. So when I waltzed in at 2pm and checked out blogspot just for fun, my eyes popped. I realized everything's back to working order. Even the pageload speeds were excellent. Better than before. Swell.
Then I received a polite email from IT asking me to check the websites because access has been enabled. Hmmm... Of course I very politely thanked them for their efficiency. :D
I certainly hope they enabled access for my department rather than just for my IP address.
Very happy now.

wow, you're really effective!
*impressed*
am sure u r aware that by now, if u log in at the office IT would most likely know u hv a blog etc.
mistipurple: heeee.
cavalock: not bothered. they would have already known that for a long time. they'd also track which sites i visit daily. anyway, the office utilizes blogs as platforms to all sorts of things.
They must have read your complaint post!
ice: HAHAH. i hope NOT!
Ha! You showed them who's boss eh!
pebbles: no no. no boss. just asserting my rights as an employee. :)
please, may i ask, for my limited knowledge, how is that the right of the employee? thanks. :)
wow!! impressive ya! =)
mistipurple: if i understand your question correctly, then these rights are a grey area- both unspoken and spoken and in no way using MOM as guideline. in my particular case, to block something like that should ideally be conveyed through a memo/email/announcement- esp when alot of our work stuff are done through blogs.
elaine: i asked politely mah.
ah. to prior inform is the keyword then. i am concerned with this as an employer, albeit small company. when the staff numbers were more in past years, i didn't like them playing games too. now that it's contained to bare minimal head count, and perhaps i am older and more tired, i am more lax. age does things to a person.
thanks for the explanation. appreciate.
i should add too, if the work also centres around blogs at times, then it does not make sense to block that of course. :)
mistipurple: always, humans should be mature enough to finish the work/tasks before doing other stuff. definitely NOT playing games online or watching a video unless it's for honest research purposes. u set the rules.
