While the man was slaving away at the office, I cleared my work emails and had all the time in the world to have leisurely meals with the friends.In a light summer dress and heels, I tottered to Piccadilly Circus to meet the girlfriends. They were going to Wimbledon tomorrow and over the weekend, so today was the only day to meet! And I hadn't decided if I want to go to Wimbledon- not a tennis fan.
The girlfriends took me out to a chi chi lunch at The Ritz. It was most delightful. I miss girlie afternoons with them!
Too bad they had to return to the office. So I toddled off to Fortnum & Mason to stock up on some stuff. Then I sat down at one of their cafes with a girlfriend's edited and revamped novella to savor afternoon tea all by myself.

jomel: i'm not fond of scones. plus is after lunch- so tea will do nicely.
if the heat is bearable...though I think it tends to rain more suddenly during the tennis matches...maybe you should go and watch a game of tennis. Lol~me used to go crazy over tennis.
Wow~a relaxed afternoon tea with friends is rare esp. applied to Singapore context, since we are all busy slogging over work. :)
iceaster: not at all hot. not when compared to sgp. been to watch the matches a couple of times already. see how. so i'm not going to watch it this round. i'm not into tennis at all.
