I've been in quite a rush to catch up with all
the friends before they go away for their Christmas holidays. We usually
don't do evenings as that's considered intrusive to everyone's daily schedules.
We're kinda doing the play by ear thingy, which always works for us.
Plus this is Christmas. There're plenty to do in the evenings besides running
errands. Meeting for lunches or teas is the perfect timing for everyone.
Since I always seem to be needing boxes of
macarons and the friends work in town, we kept meeting for lunch at the very
convenient Ladurée
Cafe at Harrods. The cafe serves decent teas and mediocre
food. It's a very pretty place though. But I'm not too enamored with it.
Generally, I'm not too hot about hanging out at shopping malls unless I've
specific things to buy. The section that really tickles my fancy is the Food
Hall. That is an amazing walk of smells and colors. Less excited when I learnt
how much they mark up the items on the shelves.
Very glad to be able to chat and catch up with
the friends. We've known one another for a long time now. They make London a
friendlier place for me. I'm so well taken care of that it feels almost like
coming home. :)

enjoy every place on its own merit lah. have a good one you!
our relationships with places are not the different from those with humans. sometimes you just don't know why something works/doesn't work.
sinlady: i will!
kikare: definitely. it's like in asian cities too. there're some cities that i like better than the rest because of the vibes, not so much of the experiences.
