Comfort Food

My one meal of the busy day was at lunch. I was not disappointed. It was awesome. Like I said, on the average, Italian food is good in Buenos Aires. Of course there're the crappy restaurants in a touristy areas. Take one look at them and you know it's not going to do any justice to the flavor of the food and anyone's home kitchen will sweep them out of business.

The menu at Gioia Restaurant isn't extensive, but it looks presentable, and the description of the food sounds like someone in the kitchen knows how to cook. I've tried its tagliolini done al dente and it was lovely.

For my next meal, I picked the saffron risotto with sauteed artichokes and prawns. That was superb. The risotto hit every sore spot in the tummy and fed me very well. Carbs carbs carbs! But it was mid-day, and everything scheduled for the afternoon and the night was guaranteed to burn every calorie. Woots.
