Tequila Evening

One of my current favorites for dinner is the food at Casa Latina. I like Mexican food and this restaurant serves good tortillas, mushrooms and rice. Importantly, its guacamole is so awesome that we always end up ordering extra servings of it. The chef can really whip up authentic flavors full of homecooked goodness.

It was the good pal's birthday and like all last minute parties the boys are wont, a party was called to order at Casa Latina with about 4 hours' notice. The restaurant was full and only outdoor seating was available. We didn't mind too much, not when it had been raining all day. Seated al fresco, it wasn't too uncomfortable in the evening. In fact, the day's rains made it less humid and almost cool.

Early birds downed Patron tequila shots. Margaritas flowed for the whole evening. This restaurant makes damn good margaritas. So we requested for ours to be shaken with Patron instead of the housepour. We were remiss and didn't prep a cake or candles for the birthday boy. The dessert came in a huge rectangle, and that sufficed. I was wondering what cake it was. It tasted like banana pound topped with cream and strawberries on a bed of super sweet milk custard. Someone cleverly answered, "Mexican cake." Right. Thanks ah.

I can't resist putting up this photo too. I super not shy. Despite the unsightly bruises and bites, I wore a short dress and proudly showed off all them varying shades of red and brown. The dark of the evening cloaked them colors well. Muahahahah. Hey, at least my giant bruises on the butt and the hips (from parkour earlier in the week) are covered up. Now that I'm less stressed, non-black fabric on the body isn't totally unwelcome. You gotta give me credit in finding a dress to match the developing hues of my bites and bruises.

It's nice to see you in colours! That's a nice outfit you've put on, despite the bruises and bites. :) Bravo! If it were me, I would have just covered everything up.
