A city is a city right? So in a city with a buzzing nightlife, there has to be a pint of Guinness to be had at an Irish pub. Easily found. Plenty available. Nothing like a pint of Guinness to drive away the rain, the cold and the generally dreary weather not unlike London's.
With very full bellies from dinner, we wanted to bust the calories count with alcohol. Beer and Guinness were craved. There were plenty of bars around, and we randomly went to O'Malley's. Ahhhh. Guinness on the tap. Naaaiiiice. There was even a band doing R & B. Bassist, guitarist, keyboardist and the drummer who doubled up as the singer, When the band came on and began their set with 'Mustang Sally', it was a blast of music in our faces just a couple of paces away. Ear plugs are always a travel essential for us.
Doing stretches in the morning is easy. Spacious apartment and plenty of space in the bedroom. Oh, and the very cold balcony can be used if I'm bothered to zip up and hop around. Not about to go swimming here. The man is pleased with the gym at the bff's estate. While he's busy looking like a lab mice running in a wheel, I'm doing some jumping out in the bracing cold. It isn't too bad really, not when I'm properly outfitted and keeping a constant body heat with the momentum. We're going to do a refresher at the indoor climbing gym before heading out to the real cliffs. But this log of the trip might just be focused on tanking up the calories, via liquid fuel. Muahahahah.
