My Favorite Groups

Well, it's not really about how good the food and drinks are, but we're thankful that this cafe at Esplanade Theatres by the Bay serves up somewhat decent grub with a now-refreshing-enough Summer Ale and Belgian Wit by Archipelago. So it has become the default venue to chill out at before the shows if a draught of Guinness isn't necessary and light bites are needed.

I like how many evenings these 2 weeks have been characterized by this same scene rotated among different groups of like-minded friends who don't hesitate to plunge deep into animated conversations about the various shows and trends. There was an evening, in one memorable moment when books were exchanged, everyone vehemently denied ownership of the abysmally depressing 'Cherry' by Matt Thorne.

Whatever happened to that book anyway? Did it get left behind at the table for some unsuspecting patron who might bravely attempt its pages?

You missed out badly written. Took book home - still couldn't just leave it there.
