They Fried Up Begedil For Me!!!
The moment I get in from trips, as long the country doesn't offer the spices I love, I'd have built up an insane craving for sambal chilli-whatever. Strolled into Sinar Pagi Nasi Padang at Boat Quay at an odd hour. We were the only table there. I love how they do their paru here. I'll skip the rendang, but can't resist pieces of the awesome paru.
The dudes running the shop know how much I love their begedil. I can quaff up to four pieces each meal. With other food, and a ton of onions and sambal of course. Today, they had everything but begedil. Involuntarily, I made this sadface. The dudes thought about it, told me to eat other food first, ran upstairs to take a look at dunno-what, then came down with a tray of dough blobs. UNCOOKED BEGEDIL!!! They went into the kitchen and fried it up fresh for me! Just four pieces served piping hot and crisp and all soft inside. Mmmm.
TEH AWESOMENESS. It was so nom-nom-nom delicious. Pure carbs and salt. Love it. Now, that is some service.
