Meeting new people for a few weeks in a row is exhausting. There was nothing more welcomed than retreating into the company of faeriefolk. I was so happy to sit down to dinner with V to celebrate her birthday before she flew out to France. We opted for comfort food at Hakumai.
The kitchen was out of steamed fish, but they managed to rustle up a sea bream head for us. Hahahaha. Okay lor, can. It came nicely steamed, as usual. I made it to three pieces of sushi. Damn sad riiight?! I wanted to eat two more pieces, but stomach space was rather limited. V was better; she made it to four pieces. 🤣
