Tingkat from Bollywood Veggies

We put in an order with Bollywood Veggies for their tingkat meal, a bottle of sambal chilli, banana bread, a batch of fresh vegetables and eggs. Ordering isn't difficult. We text them our orders (type properly lah, and lay it out coherently), wait for them to confirm, then we PayNow to their UEN. We scheduled this round for dinner and and eagerly waited for it to arrive within the 4-6pm allocated slot. It arrived at 5pm, all the food was neatly packed in a tingkat, and a few boxes. #SupportLocal

We realized it was A LOT OF FOOD. Hahaha. Well, we ordered enough to feed three, and also because we wanted to taste everything! Oof. Since we have two normal stomachs and weren't starving tonight, we portioned out some for lunch the next day. Unfortunately they offered only white rice along with it. There was more than enough rice to be frozen for another meal. It would likely become fried rice with spam and eggs. Heh.

This week's two-tiered tingkat menu comprised chicken rendang and tofu pumpkin lemak. We skipped the chap chye and ordered their vegetarian platter of sambal goreng, dhal, mixed veggie curry, samosas and spring rolls and their farm tempura. There was achar too. They were delicious! We would be eagerly waiting for the following week's menu, and ordering another batch of stuff. We love Bollywood Veggies' food. We're so glad they do delivery during this month. It's so comforting to have it at home.

What tickled me most was the pandan kaya cake. The man needs his desserts, so I ordered a loaf of banana cake, and thought it would be nice to have a slice of pandan kaya cake too. It was of course packed into a box. When I opened it, it totally cracked me up. Sitting in there, was the most EFFORT decor on a cake ever packed for delivery. ONE SLICE. Like this. WIN LOR.

I will have lots of leftover too for next day's meal(s) when I order the 2-tier tingkat and the nasi lemak set for parents and me :)

i'm waiting for them to announce this week's menu. I think they've run out of tingkat, and will be using other sustainable means to hold the food. Not sure if they have nasi lemak this week, but there will definitely be vegetarian platters.
