Loo Rolls

BreadTalk's version,
and the misspelt name is just, ROFL.

I was rather tickled by the loo roll cakes trotted out by the bakers everywhere in the world. Singapore's home bakers did it too, the boutique bakeries did it, and so did BreadTalk. I didn't bother buying them. LOL Not into cakes like these. Didn't bother buying them for friends either.

However, I succumbed to a loo roll cake from Barking Good for the dog. The pets' bakery is trotting out the pets' versions of 'lockdown cakes', or in this case, the bakery terms it as 'SGUnited' cakes. Besides the loo roll, Barking Good offers two other designs of a N95 mask and a circuit breaker box. It's rather cute. These cakes for the dogs and cats are practical, and are great for a laugh!

Delivery was swift! The cake was hilarious when it arrived nicely packed in a box. You could customize the wordings, as long it fits the base the cake sits on. I kept it as #StayTheBarkAtHome. I certainly don't care about cake for humans. Getting one for the dog is fine though. It'll become her food. These cakes aren't treats. Well, our loo roll 'cake' is pretty much a meatloaf. It simply saves me the effort of cooking four meals for the dog. Oooof.

Choya's 'cake' is made up of mainly tightly packed minced beef, and it also contains carrots, broccoli, and rosemary. She doesn't eat vegetables, and will only eat them when they're blended or diced small and she can't pick them them out. Hahaha. The white 'icing/frosting' is made from potatoes, and the browns are from carob. Perfect. Along with other food items, that 250g-cake fed her for four meals. Of course I had to slice it up to store it. The 'cake' keeps well frozen for two weeks, and I simply thaw out each piece at meal-times and mash it up in the dog's bowl.

Choya didn't mind posing for photos as requested. But she wasn't interested in eating it right there and then. She took a sniff and walked away. My dog really isn't food-motivated, nor does she care very much about food. Ha! She only bothers about food when she's really hungry. She has finished the cake. The sliced pieces were portioned out over a few meals. The vegetables got past her finicky tastebuds and she generally liked the flavors of the bakery's meatloaf. Whewww!
