Daisy’s Dream Kitchen for Dinner

Popped up to the BFF's for dinner and organized food delivery from Daisy's Dream Kitchen. Their food stands up well to delivery, and they have not failed me. This restaurant’s yummy dishes have to be shared. It’s so much easier to share food when there’re minimally three stomachs who share similar taste profiles in food.

I cackled like crazy when I texted the BFF to remind her to turn on the rice cooker before she went out cycling. The reply text was a string of curses. Well. Hahahah. There wouldn’t be time for her to cook the rice when she got home. No issues, I was home, so I cooked the rice instead. Easy. She could receive the food and set the table. I still had plenty of time to walk the dog before going over. We have the same rice cooker, so I dunno why her 1.5-cup special Mekhala ruby rice requires two hours to cook. My 1.5-cup of Naturel brown rice only needs 55 minutes!

I wrote a note to request for their gorgeous spicy sambal belachan. I didn’t expect the food to arrive with a handwritten note and a generous tub of sambal belachan. Wow! I was thinking of a small sauce container instead of a bigger tub. That was a surprise and much appreciated! I thought I over-ordered, but no, we cleaned out every dish. Except the complimentary belinjo crackers. There was still sambal belachan left (won't be wasted), so BFF kept the crackers to be eaten the next day.

Giggled when she trotted out dessert. Tea! Oh my 天. Cups of 'bubble tea'!!! She had no idea what Chicha Sanchen is, and now she’s hooked on it. 😂 She had ordered it earlier and it arrived promptly. It’s the tea that she loves, not so much of the bubbles. We didn't bother with the bubbles tonight either. The no-sugar option works well for us, and the man still likes his milk and 50% sugar in his tea.
