Hello Boys. Spot Choya. |
We prefer to stop by I.N.U. Cafe just before they take the last orders of the night. We usually end up being the last customers who leave slightly before closing time. Their zi char dishes here are decent lah. I just don't eat here as often as I'd have liked because some of the diners really don't bother to watch or discipline their dogs and the critters can be rather ill-behaved.
When Choya shows every indication of wanting to be left alone, these dogs still persist in coming over to violently sniff her or smack her with their paws. Tsk tsk. I have had to literally drag dogs away from under the benches and tables because they wouldn't stop annoying Choya who's already backed up against the corner. And tell the owners to leash their dogs or stop them from coming over to our table. Choya has a pretty high tolerance limit, but she will bark and she will nip if these dogs can't take a hint.
Stopped by that night and C's two Shiba boys were there. LOL They perched and totally looked like Boss Shibes. Choya does get along with them. Or rather, they know how to seek their own spaces and don't intrude on one another's privacy. That's swell. Choya tends to stick closer to other shibes, and is a tad wary of other dogs who don't respect her personal space or have no concept of privacy. When there're only these three dogs in the premises, and shibes at that, Choya gets to go around unleashed, and unmolested.
Finally worked up the courage to ask the kitchen about the spam 'fries'. But I bravely asked if they could do it in a flat style instead. C rolled her eyes, grinned and said yes, "like those luncheon meat with breakfast beehoon riiight?". Riiiiiggght! HAHAHAHA. YES, PLEASE. The spam did indeed arrive at the table laid out beautifully. So many pieces of spam. I was thrilled. My dinner was super satisfying — spam, and fried beehoon. BEST. The man just wanted stir-fried sambal fish and plain rice. He took some of my beehoon and also had a nice big bowl of peppery pig stomach soup.
