Having dinner with three little tots meant that a 6pm dinner was ideal. Little tots = loads of things to do before bedtime, so a 7 or 8pm dinner is out of the question. These are school-going tots. They should ideally be in bed asleep by 9.30pm/10pm. Well, my little tot is slightly more adaptable. Hurhurhur. Popped out to GRUB for a delightful meet.
What a lovely evening of comfortable conversation in the company of old friends. The bottle of pinot noir was easy. It was nice to see the ladies again, and say hello to the little ones who have really grown within six months. They're quite hilarious at times. Hurhurhur. They're growing up nicely, and conversation with them nowadays is more of a pleasure than trying to find common topics with them and falling flat. Do I look like I read children's books or watch the films they like?
I was so happy to have Choya come along to dinner as well. The friends invited her even before I asked. I had initially assumed no Choya, until they said that she had to come. Hahaha. Well, the Smol Girl was just happy to be included. She sniffed at everyone and remembered them. She has met them before, except for the little boy.
Anyway her favorite person here tonight is little C. C is rather quiet and gentle. So is Choya. They've met each other, and they enjoy each other's company a fair bit. They like sitting together, just chilling out. C has a soft spot for the this Shiba-ken. Choya wandered around and plonked herself next to C's chair, declaring her fondness for C. This is about as affectionate as Choya gets with strangers. She would only be super comfortable if we're all on the ground or at someone's home, and she might just flip around to ask for belly rubs.
