I have been eating many meals at a park or at the atrium of a building. Because I wanted to have Smol Girl with me. Luckily for me, I like Shake Shack loads. So the branch at Neil Road is my favorite. It's near so many parks and benches. I'm very used to just eating outdoors now. It's pretty fun. It was gorgeous during the cool months of December and January and February that have now faded into a distant memory.
I would have more space and time for lunch with friends if I don't partition out these chunks of 'alone time'. I can share, but the thing is, very few people have the leisure to do this with me in the middle of a work day or even at dinner. Even fewer people are game to just get a takeout and sit in the heat, albeit sheltered. Some friends do, and they're are gems. I love them forever!
That day, I took Smol Girl to a client's office at the Biopolis area for a bit. When I was done, we strolled over to Star Vista for lunch. There're some legit pet-friendly restaurants, but I didn't feel like eating at any of those. What was most comfortable, was to get a takeout and eat at the 'basement' stairs or benches. I got a bento from Itacho Sushi at Star Vista, found a bench and ate there. Smol Girl was very happy to wait for me, and she snoozed.
