Continuing with fish as my main protein for the meals this week, I opted to add on a lovely slice of stingray while getting lunch to-go from Hjh Maimunah. I can't not have spices in my meals! Since I had loads of work to do, I intended to stay in that evening; this ikan pari would do nicely to feed me for dinner.
Can't be happier that I live in this city. There's so much variety when it comes to food. I eat out often, but I eat at home equally frequently nowadays. Getting food delivered to me is always an option, but often, I also like getting additional items for dinner after I lunch somewhere. Most nasi padang eateries don't open in the nights, and if they do, the array of dishes isn't exciting. Lunch is where it's all happening at. It's much better to get dinner-things at lunch, then chuck them all in the fridge for the afternoon to be await reheating.
The ikan bakar pari wasn't complicated. It was grilled with some spice rub. No gravy or anything were added. I didn't need them. Onions and green chillies were given, along with a small pack of kicap manis and sambal belado. There were two pieces of begedil to go along with the stingray.
I didn't need that much carbs at dinner, and simply heated up a few spoonfuls of brown rice from the freezer. Couldn't be more satisfied with dinner. It's light and nutritious enough, and super tasty.
