Lobster Linguine at Prego

I guess the only reason why I'd step into Prego is for its convenient location, and the still-available AMEX love dining discounts. A main (a pasta) at 50% off is super decent, but of course the prices of everything else has been jacked up, so even with a discount, it would still work out to $130 per pax. It wouldn't be a S$50 meal.

This was a decent venue. But it always feels like a corporate lunch place rather than somewhere I'd voluntarily go. It has been around ever since I was a kid. LOLOLOL It's one of those restaurants that I'd still pop by once in a bit. When many more dining choices open up to me over the years, I kinda ditched Prego.

I walked into Prego that day for a quick lunch. No reservations were made, and I wanted lobster pasta. So did the husband. I thought he was on a work call and couldn't come with. In the end, his call ended early and he also didn't mind an easy pasta at lunch.

Today, we didn't bother with appetizers. Just a light glass of red and some hearty pasta. That would do for lunch. He pounded the treadmill in the morning, and I went for a quick run, so we had plenty of space to inhale some carbs. We didn't plan for a heavy dinner that night, so a pasta lunch was perfect. The lobster linguine came with half a Boston lobster, burrata and plenty of bisque sauce. I must say that Prego's lobster linguine still hits a spot. It's done well.
