A Whole Grilled Chicken at Canchita

We like Canchita's easy vibes. Their friendly patio is kind to our floofs too. We try to swing in regularly for dinner. That night, we wanted to catch up with dear B and A, and it was our turn to get dinner. Off to Canchita we toddled for a casual one.

Since everyone's watching their health indexes, we had a wholesome grilled chicken. This item takes about 45-55 minutes to arrive at the table, depending on how busy the kitchen is, so I placed that order even before we decided on drinks. Heh.

Got the grilled octopus with lima beans. Had two types of vegetables — the Peruvian green and white asparagus with tomatoes and almonds, as well as the grilled artichokes with chestnuts, eggplants and broccolini

The mains arrived. The whole grilled chicken done in huacatay sauce. It was delicious! Everyone was pleased with all the different parts that they wanted. Plenty of lean breast meat to go around. Heh. The fish was a seabass done in chicha de jora and light aji amarillo sauce. Had carbs of seafood rice with Peruvian panca chilli, tomatoes and white wine

The table made it to some sort of dessert that I forgot what it was since I skipped it. Hahahah. They shared it and loved it. It was such an enjoyable time chatting with the friends. They always pamper us with homecooked dinners. I cannot be bothered to have them over since our flat is much smaller, and I'm no brilliant cook, so we reciprocate by taking them out to makan
