Eggs & Rice Rolls

On some days when I'm up at 6am or so, then I wouldn't mind a bite at 10am when I'm walking Choya. That morning, we had a fun stroll down to Killiney Road, and made a stop at Killiney Kopitiam.

The Smol Girl was super happy sniffing around, and at this hour, it was still cool-ish by our standards. That was a lovely breeze too. How precious. So she didn't mind a water break and to rest her little legs while I had a nibble.

I skipped having a coffee and stuck to a honey-lemon drink. I generally can't do kopi-o nowadays because of how they roast the beans. The sugar, lard or margarine simply kills me. It's impossible for people with IBS to drink this kopi-o and not zoom to the toilet within 20 minutes of the final sip. I can mitigate it with ice, but still.

I'm not keen to eat a lot at this hour since the stomach isn't awake and I've got a gym class to get to. But I was hungry today, and wouldn't have time for a sit-down lunch. I ordered two eggs and rice rolls (cheong fun). I asked for the rolls to be plain, and drizzled with a bit of sesame oil. I don't like cheong fun with any sort of weird sauce. Light soy sauce would suffice. That would be great. Absolutely satisfying.
