An impromptu late dinner meant that we simply swung out to the convenient Wildfire for some beautifully grilled medium-rare hanger steak, fish and chips, and fried chicken (two pieces in a portion; thigh + drumstick). We had to have the coleslaw too. NOMS. The restaurant takes the last orders at 9pm, and closes by 10pm. That totally works for us. We weren't staying later than that.
Often, our dinner timings would complement Choya's final bedtime pee before she heads home. She absolutely hates being woken up after supper for one last night pee. She prefers to pee, eat and sleep. She said no issues with her bladder. Okaaaaay. I just have to make sure that her supper doesn't contain a crazy amount of broth or water.
Tonight we had drinks though, wine and a glass of Manhattan. Nothing too crazy. Something to go along with the meal. We all have to go home for the floofs to have their supper and they like to be in bed by 11pm. We just wanted to have an easy chat since we hadn't seen E for weeks.
