S and I took a break from long work meetings for a meal at UMMI. The menu is friendly enough for her gluten-free needs. In this area, parking is the easiest at where the restaurant is, at this Intercontinental Hotel. The rest of the basement carpark lots are simply incoherent and too narrow.
Lunch is always tough to do since we've got work stuff, meetings and gym classes going on. Dinner is better to sort out. We didn't want anything too heavy tonight. We couldn't do three dips; ordered a vegetarian hummus with flatbread. I didn't care for the roasted potatoes, but S spied it and said she wanted it. I don't what is so addictive about these crispy potatoes tossed in garlic, coriander and lemon. Everyone loves them. S ate all the potatoes. LOL
For the mains, we wisely shared the chicken kabsa. It was super tasty, as expected! There was no way we could fit in a second main or meat anymore. This was it. It was a really good night catching up.
There would be no bottles of wine ordered. One glass each was more than sufficient. I had no intense gym class the next day, so I decided to have two glasses. Heh. My drinking nowadays is dictated by my gym schedule. And my liver is thankful for the huge decrease in alcohol intake. I'm not quitting drinking. I simply restrict it to two drinks nowadays. Also, our drink-driving alcohol limits roughly correspond to a maximum of about 1.5 standard drinks for men and one standard drink for women consumed three hours before driving. That is a great deterrence. If we're drinking, honestly, don't drive.
