2 dumbdumb things we did- I forgot my all-important earplugs and dang, our ticket guy gave us tickets to tomorrow's set! WTF. Luckily we got in late and managed to swop tickets (£37.25 each) with a scalper at no charges. The door guy gave me foam earplugs. Not the best, but beggars can't be choosers. Whew.
I don't even know all their songs. But by the end of the night, I did. They've only one album. :p
Do the names John Paul Jones, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and Alain Johannes mean anything to you? Put together, this band could either suck or be damn kickass. They make up Them Crooked Vultures and they kicked ass at the Hammersmith Apollo last night.
Them Crooked Vultures, as a band, is farking amazing. The music is strong and tight. Live, the band blew our minds. Don't think they're just old men prancing about on stage. There were probably 4000 people in the venue hollering for more after the final song. The hall pulsated with the raw energy of the band and fed off their vibes.
Ah. What a night.
