Sweet Sunday

Early morning, the man zipped off to the supermarket for fresh ingredients. He was busy as a bee all afternoon, hunched over the stove, slicing, stirring and cooking up a storm. Expecting dear friends for dinner!

There were to be three simple dishes for dinner- Japanese salad with a splash of white truffle oil, pumpkin soup and the-very-tedious-to-prepare vegetarian moussaka. The man put in lots of effort into the moussaka as all of us love it done vegetarian.

The dessert angel got this beauty from Chopinette. A huge apple tart to feed 10. As stuffed as we were, there was always room for dessert.

A sweet end to a Sunday evening filled with laughter, great conversation and good food.
