Really That Duh?

At said Conference, IDA's presentation was titled "The Web of Possiibilities".

The Imp frankly found the content a tad embarassing. And so last year.

The presenter 'educated' participants about Flickr, Google Earth, Wikipedia and YouTube; and explained the functions of these websites.

2½ possibilities.

1) The make-up of the participants today had no idea what new internet developments are. Which translates into- they have no idea what constitutes the blogosphere.

2) IDA thought that participants would be really clueless about what the internet is about nowadays and thought to educate them.

2½) (I cannot believe) IDA just decided these are recent developments to be looked into.

Come on.

What if...what if it's really the last year presentation material "mistakenly" used.

The presenter & participants might experience a strong sense of déjà vu.

they cannot be that dumb right?

i honestly believe that to them, all these are cutting edge. i mean, they would know the technology already, being IDA (hopefully)

but i might offer this: they prob didn't expect singaporeans to latch onto these 'new' technology so quickly. for better or worse, lapped up by the masses. IDA might have been pretty shocked.
