Me, Upsized

When the button on that pair of pants burst in Macau, it was like a shrill wake-up call. I'd have to throw out the 10 pairs of pants in the wardrobe.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I bought those pants years ago and now, they wouldn't fit me anymore. I'm no longer a 42kg waif with a 23.5inch waist. I have grown thicker.

Today at lunch, I went out to the HDB neighborhood market stall to buy myself 6 pairs of fairly well-cut pants for immediate wearing. At S$18 each, they were practically disposable! They will tide me over till I accept the fact that I do need to throw out more clothes from the wardrobe because I need to be decently clothed in a bigger size nowadays. Especially those that are a little tight and I think to myself, 'I'll fit into them when I lose that 10kg soon.' I recall saying that last November. Ha ha.

Hello imp. You're never going to be 42kg again. 52kg is looking good though.

Blardy $)(*$)(*^#%.

I looked damn good when I was 52kg ok! For me, it's not an unachievable target since I am not that far from that. So, I don't throw my pants away. I always manage to bring them out after some time. Usually, when I am suffering from a heartache! *sobs* Aiyah.... better to throw them away lah hor? I rather be happy and weighing 57 than sad and weighing 52!

No no.. don't throw!!

I keep all my 'skinny' clothes.. for er, just in case! and hopefully, motivation - wishful thinking! :P

And the 'fat' clothes, all i throw away. Didn't even think twice!

Hmm...I have started to gain back all the kilos I lost when I was sick back then. Look at the bright side, at least u r taller than me, so the extra kilos still looks nice on u as compared to me.
Hope u r off those awful medications already...me finished my medication but still not well. Sigh...as for work, I must comment that I m quite happy with my current job as my bosses are very understanding. They consider me a student. Cheers and take care~

I know what you mean, I haven't thrown out a few pieces of my pre-preg clothes ... and it has been 13 years... haha.

But I think I have already resigned to not-able to get back to that size again. Plus, those clothes are probably out of fashion. The cool thing is, my daughter can almost fit into them now. :)

Hope your weight doesn't yo-yo around like mine, it's absolutely frustrating!! And having an absolute weakness for desserts doesn't help! =p

jemej: it does! coz i'm not the thin sort to begin with. i put on weight very easily!

you've just reminded me that it's time to clear out my wardrobe as well - there are just some things, esp pants/jeans that i'm never going to fit into again. SIGH.
