Between meetings, the colleagues took us to this cafe which apparently sold the best Portuguese tarts in the city.
Wooohoo.
It was so gooooood!
Piping hot and cripsy.
Importantly, it wasn't as sickeningly sweet as the others I had tried. Those, I threw away after a bite.
At Cafe e Nata, I ate 2 tarts all by myself.

Love those tarts..! someone used to sell it at Woodlands . where the mall was .. at the basement.. in the grocery store. Indonesian lady.. young one.. :)
Looks great and I am sure they taste even better coming from Macau. I think the unique and eclectic blend of both heritage and hedonism in Macau lends to its charm. Something that we are trying hard to push for in Singapore, that hopefully will reap great synergies.
mamabok: i didn't find the sgp ones very good at all! eeek. or perhaps i didn't go out there with a mission to find the nice ones! what mall at Woodlands is this?
coolinsider: i'm not a huge fan of the tarts. but i enjoyed the 2 i had! the macanese are trying very hard to protect this eclectic blend. but along the stretch of casinos, i see the city losing alot of its charm and identity. i hope the municipal bureau can balance that. frankly, i hate that casino stretch in macau. it felt uncouth, gaudy and totally glaring. no charm there.
did you try the chinese egg tarts? they're just as good! except without the filo fluffy pastry!
meteor: yes i did. i was such a glutton! wahahahah.
