Moving Over

It is quite a shock moving over from intimate Villa Royale to swanky Indigo PearlWe love Indigo Pearl's sprawling grounds. Certainly, the architecture is inspiring. Very comfortable rooms too. We just aren't used to the many rooms and humans.

The staff is helpful. But I feel that they lack a touch of warmth that the Villa Royale staff had. And really, there is something cosy about a boutique hotel that no bigger resort with a little greater efficiency or luxury could replicate.

What really caught my attention at Indigo Pearl is its concise and meticulous care paid to the branding and image of the resort. True to its tin mining roots of the land, the resort stuck to tin-mining motifs, patterns and shapes. That ran through very strongly from cutlery to furniture.
The strict adherence to the corporate branding is outstanding.

orientalQ elaine: it's beautiful.

shutterbug: u could get the spa to do up a milk bath. or u could go out to town to grab bath salts and foam to do your own. only problem- u can't get totally naked in it! it's not so private. people can see! gotta put on bathing suits.
