Fervor
Since this is the city, the menus at restaurants are printed in English and Spanish. The servers speak a measure of English; it's greatly in your favor if you speak Spanish. Makes it more pleasant and it's way easier to get around. Always make a reservation before you turn up at the restaurants. They're always packed out.
There seem to be a couple of restaurants under the same management. By the time I'm done in Buenos Aires, I'd have gone round to all of them. We began with Fervor Restaurante & Parilla. It was a night when we had a couple of hours off, and we were immeasurably grateful to be able to stand down, chill out and try to sleep early.
Apparently Fervor serves good steaks. Argentine beef is famous. And from the colleagues' words, the steaks here are simply grilled and served. It doesn't blow your mind out, but it's very good value for money for the quality you get at a casual restaurant. I like its casual ambience and bustling vibe. It's not a big restaurant, but it's cosy. The menu offerings are western with a slight French slant. The restaurant also offers a wide range of fish- seabass, silverside, sole, perch, grouper, black drum fish, white salmon etc. Nice! They did my perch beautifully. But always ask for the sauce on the side, otherwise it can be too creamy.

i've been told argentine beef is the best in the world. must not smother it in gravy or cook it until it is just another cooking meat lor.
sinlady: i've no idea. but i guess it is. some of the friends who don't like wagyu, prefer Argentine beef.
