The usual every other week date at Botanics for a run. It isn't an activity I look forward to. But there's not much of a choice since stamina still needs to be built. The runs have proven effective to parkour. Generally I sprint 3km or do an easy pace of 5km. These are manageable distances. And there is no need to run further.
Girlfriend made me run 10km today. I hate her.
I didn't have the stopwatch. She wore one. So I counted on her to keep time. After a while, I was like...out of breath. Lungs were burning. It couldn't be. The usual pace ought to be easy. I was like...HOW LONG MORE???!!! She kept replying "A bit more...a bit more!" By the time I realized something was up, it was too late. "2 more clicks!" She urged. I couldn't very well stop dead, sit down and throw a tantrum. ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGH.
Dragged my sorry ass back to the girlfriend's for a much needed shower before the stomach growled. Honestly, my ass hurt. The arms ached too. Why ah? SOME PEOPLEs are urging me to sign up for the Singapore Garden Run before it's over. They're doing it and have promised to walk the 10km. I don't believe them. These PEOPLEs actually run rather regularly. My ENTIRE body now feels BROKEN. I don't think I want to volunteer for more torture along with the other 1999 humans (nothing attractive about it), even if my darling friends are really lovable. UGH.
After the run, limping out to get food at Baker & Cook wasn't my idea of fun. (Don't go there to sit down; get a to-go. It has like...10 seats.) The woman thought it was really cool for us to not drive out, but do a brisk walk there to COOL DOWN. Hello, I showered. I am cool. She didn't care. "You only ran 10 clicks, not 21km or a marathon. Don't be a wuss." Yah, we walked. One of these days, I swear she's going to kill me.

Unless you kill her first, of course.
