I've never been a breakfast person. If there's a necessity to fill the stomach somewhat, easy things will suffice, preferably cold. Think yoghurt, bananas or granola/muesli. The man takes breakfast, a lot more in quantity than I do. At home, he usually rummages the fridge for leftovers or if he's able to wait, the helper will whip up an omelette with kippers or something. On vacations, one portion of breakfast will be enough for us. Heh. He's not the happiest if I don't sit at the breakfast table with him and choose to sleep in. It's a bit difficult explaining to the servers/cashiers that he's the only one eating and I'm not, and I won't even steal food off his plate.
Once in a while, if I'm awake and in the mood, I'll assemble a sandwich for the man. The fridge would usually stock these items anyway. Today was one such morning. Store-bought turkey ham, a thin film of garlic mayonnaise, bits of lettuce and slices of egg, all placed on cornbread, and served with cherry tomatoes at the side. The only thing that requires a pot to actually cook it, would be the egg. Thankfully. The man likes his eggs sorta runny. But a sandwich can't have stuff dripping out of it. So a hard-boiled with a soft yolk would be fine, and still tasty.
Today, he was rather pleased with breakfast. It was chomped down in less than 10 minutes while he flipped through the day's headlines in the hard copies of the newspapers. The not-too-tiny sandwich would tide him through gym-crunches-weights before getting lunch.

misti: make them. a loaf of bread goes a long way. and inexpensive. even when you buy all these ingredients. slightly healthier than instant noodles.
This post says so much more about the 2 of you as a couple than breakfast habits. *hugs* happy for you both :)
that actually looks really enticing to me. The egg looks perfect :)
I can't eat too early either. My first meal is at 11am usually. Or 10 am at the very earliest I guess. Hotel buffet breakfasts are totally wasted on me. Such a pity. But my partner can wolf it all down ;-)
sinlady: heh.
bookunkie: Eat whenever your stomach dictates. 4 to 5 very small meals a day work best for me. or 2 medium-sized meals spaced out at 1pm and 8.30pm.
