Feeling Loved

As the blazing afternoon sun turned into lengthening shadows, and the coffee with good beans had been drunk, the girlfriend got down to the business of preparing dinner. WIEEEEE. Her little girl got to eat her favorite things, and I got to share yummy food that were plated most beautifully and scooped off lovely china. The girlfriend is absolutely gleeful about her latest purchase of vintage crockery via the internet that were securely packed and didn't break in transit.

Quinoa and beet salad on the menu. Absolute favorite sort of savory rich and filling salad tossed with bits of green. I like leafy vegetables in salads, especially baby spinach and lettuce, but I don't just want those. I also like grains and nuts. Salads ought to be hearty. Commercial salads at the restaurants rarely give you this level of generosity in terms of ingredients. Those versions are usually rather pathetic. Homemade salads are the best. I'm so lucky that the girlfriend's willing to cook for meeeeee!

Her husband ate a mouthful, proclaimed it good, and ran off for his evening ride through the estate. "Maybe I'll come across a kway chap store along the way!" Riiigggght. Hahaha. We saved him a huge portion anyway. My partner was busy, but he would be needing dinner. So the girlfriend packed up a good size tub for him too, cutlery and pretty light-blue polka-dotted napkin all included. Later on, the man added salt and pepper to his tub, and munched it all up, totally loving it, and this item matches his current diet obsession of having 6 small meals a day. (He's counting calories, and keeping a food diary for the month.) The man said he's lucky to have my girlfriends pamper him too. Muahahahahah.

Happy to feed you any time, dear! You know, not everyone will like the salad - a little too healthy for many, haha! So happy you and the man enjoyed it! :)
